Cause in truth my faith in bkdk had already been fully invested since 2016, but I secretly kept it to myself (for obvious fandom hell reasons) til I could no longer hold back my feelings anymore, and began posting here in 2017 with some of my first metas for them. This is what I had already long concluded and confessed back then:

To be constantly fed his slow-cooked, full course meals without ever needing to ask for anything more? Cause there's really no need! Everything came to those who waited. Hah....(yes the signs were there all along for those who chose to look and read his work for themselves) it feels so correct to have chosen Kacchan as a favorite and follow how his complex canon relationship with Deku would develop from their deliberately rocky beginnings. I am so glad for the journey to get here. :')) I can only wish Hori the best to finally stick the landing and conclude his series in a way he feels satisfied with!

Been doing some rewriting about Triffany and Wambus’ character arcs in Bugswap. Brace yourselves it’s gonna get looong.

Originally, I wanted them to retain their original sidequest character arcs but have their swapped personalities approach them differently, but I felt that’d be too much of a wash-rinse-repeat approach to it. What I have so far isn’t stellar but I think it has to count for something.

Triffany is an unsuccessful archaeologist. Her family has a bad reputation in the industry, as any excavation started by a Lottablog winds up a waste of time, money, and resources, as little is found. Triffany sees the expedition to Snaktooth Island as a possible chance to regain the respect of her colleagues, and although she manages to dig up a few skeletons of ancient Grumpuses here and there, what she wants to find the most is any possible remains of the ancient Bugsnax. So far, she hasn't had much luck, but she's too stubborn to admit defeat.

Wambus, on the other hand, joins the expedition to find the remains of a cookbook written by his grandfather, Brussell Troubleham (working name as of right now). His grandfather was a well-know chef and it was he who gave him a love for cooking and agriculture. Years before the events of the story, his grandfather traveled to Snaktooth after hearing about the sauces there, hoping to bring them back to the mainland, but then disappeared for years. He hopes to find the cookbook (or at least what's left of it) to prevent his grandfather's last great creation from falling victim to time.

Yeah, they’re not the most creative plot ideas, but I’m pretty happy with what I have.

so i’ve been Looking a bit more closely at smooth sailing’s speech patterns and it’s rlly helped me realize just how much autism swag she has!!! they def have a bit of the flat kind of autism tone but she uses punctuation (more specifically a lack thereof) plus capitalizations (like how they capitalized Waffle House and Spiders in the same sentence because she’s afraid of them) to get across emotions and it rlly resonates with me since i tend to talk pretty flatly but if i just!!!!! had my exclamation marks without losing my voice from screaming!!!!!! i’d convey so much more emotion AND THERE IS INDEED STILL EMOTION IN FLAT TONES ACTUALLY U JUST GOTTA LOOK FOR IT!!!!!!!!! anyway whether or not the tism was intentional or not for her the rep was very well done woooooo
